| Playing Select Basketball requires a strong financial and
time commitment from both player and parents. |

|
A-Town Hoops is home of Arlington Washington's Boys Select Youth
Basketball program for grades 4-8. Prospective players
try out and are selected on the basis of several
variables, including skill, talent and character to form
competitive teams. Not all players who try out will make
a team. See Program for more information.
The community offers a recreational league through the
Arlington Boys and Girls Club. This league accepts
all players. Players who do not make a select team, but
want to continue playing basketball are encouraged to
use this league, and try out again the following year. |

A-Town
Hoops is funded mainly through the parents of the players and
approximate costs can be between $250 and $300 per season per
player. Coaches may decide to enter additional tournaments
incurring additional expenses.
Additionally we
have established fund-raising events, such as the Holiday
Hoop Classic tournament in December and the 3on3X
tournament in August to generate revenue that help minimize operating expenses.
These events require the
support and volunteer efforts of many players and parents to
whom we owe great thanks. |

WESCO is an AAU sanctioned division from our region. We
enter our most talented teams in this division. All
players are required to obtain an AAU card each year to
participate. Travel may be required to games played in
Snohomish, Skagit, King and Island Counties. |

|
Often there is sufficient talent to form a second Select
team within a grade. When this is the case, we enter
these teams in the SWISH Select Basketball league in
Skagit County. |
